provides up to four-times the lateral stability
of a standard wood tie. The cavities remove material
from the tie in areas where combined stress levels
are low, similar to structural I- beams.
Additionally, the cavities bolster interaction with
the ballast with deep ribs that span across the bottom
surface of the ties.
